Nearly all Healthcare workers are required to have at least this BLS class. NOTE: "AED" or automated external defibrillator, is a machine used by responders to deliver an electrical shock to the heart when there is a cardiac emergency. When used with CPR, AEDs greatly increase the chance of survival from heart related emergencies. AED certification and training is included in all of our CPR courses.

Topics covered in this American Heart Association course include: Recognition and treatment for heart attacks, stroke, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions as well as first aid treatments to wounds, fractures, burns and other common injuries. Basic First Aid and CPR/AED can be combined into one course for groups.
